Cássio Prazeres

Dr. Prazeres is an assistant professor in the Web/Multimedia area at Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) since 2010, where he leads research activities and projects, teaches under-graduate and post-graduate courses, and is advisor for Ph.D, M.Sc. and B.Sc. students. He holds a PhD degree in Computer Science from University of São Paulo (USP). He has several publications in international conferences and journals. He is member of ACM SIGWEB, and member of W3C Web of Things Community Group. Prazeres is also member of the Special Committee on Multimedia and the Web (WebMedia-CE) at Brazilian Computer Society (SBC). Prazeres have coordinated projects in the Internet/Web of Things themes in the last years and have participated on other related projects as Digital TV, crowdsourcing and e-learning projects, for instance. Recently, Dr. Prazeres had a sabbatical year as a Post Doctoral Researcher at Insight Centre for Data Analytics (former DERI) at the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG).

Danilo Barbosa Coimbra

Danilo is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Institute of Mathematics, Federal University of Bahia. He obtained a double degree PhD in Computer Science with emphasis on Information Visualization at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Computing (ICMC), University of São Paulo, Brazil, together with the Department of Mathematics and Computing Science, University of Groningen, Netherlands. His main research interest topics include multidimensional data analysis by using Multidimensional Visualization techniques and, more recently, Multimedia and Sports Visualization topics.

Frederico Durão

Dr. Frederico Durão is an assistant professor in the Web area at Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) since 2013, where he leads research activities and projects, teaches under-graduate and post-graduate courses, and is advisor for Ph.D, M.Sc. and B.Sc. students. He holds a PhD degree in Computer Science from Aalborg University (Denmark). He has several publications in international conferences and journals. He is interested in research involving topics of Recommender Systems, Semantic Web, Information Retrieval and Linking Open Data. Currently, Dr. Frederico Durão is a Post Doctoral Researcher at Insight Centre for Data Analytics at University College Cork, Ireland (UCC).

Gustavo Bittencourt

Gustavo is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) since 2010. He holds a Masters and PhD degree, both in Computer Science, from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). After joining UFBA, Dr. Figueiredo has been involved in teaching and research activities at undergraduate and graduate levels, advising Ph.D, M.Sc. and B.Sc. students. He is the leader of the GRADe (High performance networks research group). In this role, he has coordinated several research projects in the scope of Wireless Mesh networks controlled by software. Additionally, Dr. Figueiredo has, in the last years, served as a technical committee member of several conferences about computer networking and performance evaluation.

Maycon Leone Maciel Peixoto

Maycon Leone Maciel Peixoto is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Institute of Mathematics, Federal University of Bahia. He obtained a PhD in Computer Science with emphasis on Distributed Systems at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Computing (ICMC), University of São Paulo, Brazil.

Ricardo is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Institute of Mathematics, Federal University of Bahia. He obtained a PhD in Computer Science with emphasis on Computational Intelligence at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Computing (ICMC), University of São Paulo, Brazil, including research stays at the Complex Systems Laboratory, UniversitA© de MontrA©al, Canada, and at the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, China.

Tatiane Nogueira Rios

Tatiane is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Institute of Mathematics, Federal University of Bahia. She obtained a PhD in Computer Science with emphasis on Computational Intelligence at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Computing (ICMC), University of São Paulo, Brazil, including a research stay at the McGill University, Canada, and at the Department of Computer Sciences and Artificial Intelligence, University of Granada, Spain.
